Conversation with Saadia Muzaffar and WCT-GTA on diversity and inclusion in Canada.


Join the WCT on Wednesday June 7th for a conversation with Saadia Muzaffar the founder of TechGirls Canada (TGC) on Change Together: A Diversity Guidebook for Startups and Scaleups. Authored by TechGirls Canada and TWG - Change Together focuses on providing a framework for organisations to work towards greater (primarily gender) diversity.

Janelle Hinds, the founder of Helping Hands and an Electrical and Biomedical Engineer, will lead the discussion with Saadia helping to identify down the key areas of focus including questions around hiring resources and communication.

Saadia Muzaffar is a tech entrepreneur and Founder of TechGirls Canada, the hub for Canadian women in science, technology, engineering, and math.  She is a speaker and international media advocate on diversity and inclusion and has been featured in Globe & Mail, VICE, CNNMoney, CBC, TVO, Chatelaine and Fortune Magazine

Janelle is the founder of Helping Hands, a platform to youth volunteer and get civically engaged while building skills for their future careers. She is the Program Coordinator with a youth-led initiative that deliver workshops to newcomer and racialized youth to build leadership skills and more to ensure all youth are active citizens. She has worked on integrating efforts to increase diversity in many of her endeavours and always looking for more opportunities to help others in their efforts.
